Follow up on cover lookalikes - new cover for The Fool's Girl by Celia Rees

Last month, I blogged about three summer 2010 young adult historical fiction books that all had a different version of the same cover art. Well, it looks like one of those books, The Fool's Girl by Celia Rees, is getting a new cover that (as far as I know) isn't a lookalike of any other cover. And I think the new cover is much nicer! Here are the new and old covers below - the new is on the left and the old on the right. If you like, leave a comment about which cover you like better!

I much prefer the new one, but the story is just the same :c) I'm a huge fan of Celia Rees and I can't wait to read it.

I think the new one might just be the UK version. I'm not sure which I like more though.

I like them both, for different reasons, but I'm with you that the older one feels too familiar. I want something exciting and new!

Julie - I think they are using in the US too now becuase it's on Amazon as the cover for the US ISBN of the book.

I prefer the new one - but I don't like either of them very much. They are both quite ordinary. However, I think the cover of A Golden Web by Barbara Quick is gorgeous! This girl is looking at you, and her face is intelligent and interesting. I immediately wanted to read that book.
